Welcome to Art Appreciation, and thank you for volunteering to help out in your child’s classroom.

This Fall, 2019, students will be learning about the art of Yayoi Kusama. The world’s most successful living female artist, Kusama is best-known for her polka dots, pumpkins, and large-scale installations. Students will have the opportunity to discuss the Japanese artist’s long career, creative goals, and signature works. Parent volunteers will then help students make and decorate their own paper pumpkins.

In the links below you will find all of the documents you need for the Art Appreciation presentation and the art project. All of the art materials are located on the art shelves opposite the music room.

Please be sure to sign up on the Art Appreciation calendar prior to your presentation and please do not overlap with another class.
