SUMMARY:Excelsior Symphony Orchestra's FREE Outdoor Concert at Harbor Island Park
DESCRIPTION:The Excelsior Symphony Orchestra (formerly known as the St. Thomas Orchestra)\, under the baton of music director William Eckfeld\, will perform an outdoor concert at Harbor Island Park before the July 4th Fireworks Display. Since 2013\, the Village of Mamaroneck has partnered with the Excelsior Symphony Orchestra to provide a free\, family-friendly\, outdoor concert prior to the Village of Mamaroneck Volunteer Fire Department’s Fireworks Display. The concert will begin at 8:00pm and will feature works by Aaron Copland\, William Eckfeld\, George Gershwin\, and John Philip Sousa\, as well as vocal selections from soloist Alison Tupay\, a song from Artistree Community Theater’s production of “Guys and Dolls”; and finally\, Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” — a staple of many Independence Day fireworks displays. DESCRIPTION:The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 75\, with support from the Village of Mamaroneck Harbor Master\, will host the 50th Annual Blessing of the Fleet on Thursday\, July 4th. Come to the West Basin at Harbor Island Park at 12 noon for the Parade of Ships. Vessels of all shapes and sizes are festively decorated by mariners who parade in front of a reviewing stand to receive a blessing from local clergy\, and are judged in hopes of winning prizes supplied by local merchants. DESCRIPTION:Village of Mamaroneck Day Camp (VMDC) at Harbor Island Park will operate from July 1st to August 9th\, Monday through Friday\, between 9:00am and 3:00pm. There will be no camp on Thursday\, July 4th in honor of the Independence Day holiday\, as well as on Friday\, July 5th. Early Morning and Extended Day programs are available at an additional cost when you register. Camp registration is open to children age four (by the start of camp season) to teens who will be entering 10th grade in the fall of 2024.

DESCRIPTION:Please Join us for the The Village of Mamaroneck Community Clean Up on Saturday\, April 13th (rain date Sunday\, April 14th). \nPlease review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you! \nThe Village of Mamaroneck’s Committee for the Environment (CFTE) is seeking volunteers for the Community Clean Up. \nVolunteers can sign-up to pick up litter at various locations around the Village. \nThe event will begin at 9:30am at the Marine Education Center in Harbor Island Park.  \n\nOpening Remarks\nDistribution of Supplies\n\nAfterwards\, volunteer teams will set out (either on foot or by car) to their clean-up locations. Site clean-up should be over by 12:00pm (if not earlier). \nSee below for clean-up locations and the number of volunteers needed per location. (Click here for a map of the clean-up locations.) While trash bags\, gloves\, and tools will be provided\, volunteers are also welcome to bring their own supplies. In an effort to get an accurate headcount and to prepare each location\, we kindly ask volunteers to sign-up by Friday\, April 11th \nChildren with a supervising adult are welcome to volunteer. Supervision of children is the responsibility of their parent(s) or guardian(s) and not the Village of Mamaroneck\, the Village’s Committee for the Environment\, or the Team Captain at the designated clean-up locations. Please specify number of adults/kids in your RSVP. \nPlease note that photographs and video footage may be taken throughout this event. These will be used by the Village of Mamaroneck in our publications\, on our website\, and in social media.
