IT’S SCHOOL BUDGET SEASON!

The next several BOE meetings will be dedicated to presentations on the Superintendent’s Proposed 2022-23 School Budget. We encourage you to tune in and be an active audience member as Dr. Shaps and his team elaborate on the many factors and priorities that go into its development. For background info, PTC has made available “BUDGET 101.” Recorded in 2021, this was a very informative ZOOM presentation with Sylvia Wallach, District MUFSD Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations. She carefully explains the specific considerations and requisites that shape the school budget each year:

PT Council is working closely with the District to be sure our community has an opportunity to learn about the proposed budget – Stay tuned for events where our community will be given the opportunity to make comments and ask questions in a more informal setting! April 19 – BOE MTG 7PM: BOE vote to adopt the Superintendent’s Recommended Budget & Property Tax Report Card

May 3 – BOE MTG: Public Hearing on the Budget

May 17 – VOTING DAY (Budget and BOE Trustees)
