Raising Resilient Children

Too tough. Too soft.  Just right.

In the world of  parenting we hear a lot of talk about the importance of raising resilient children.  What this seems to mean is that we want our kids to be tough and to “bounce back”.  When they cry easily, or can’t seem to get over something quickly, we may worry that we have somehow failed to teach them resiliency or that they lack an important trait.   Let’s define what we really mean by resiliency and talk about when and how it can be cultivated in our families.  Please join Dr. Alan Dienstag and Dr. Katie Sawyer on Wednesday October 30 at 9:15am in Room 212 for what promises to be an interesting conversation.
