The STEM Alliance of Larchmont-Mamaroneck invites you to a FREE, public festival of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math on March 27th from 6pm to 9pm at Hommocks Middle School, Larchmont, NY. Learn, discover, tinker, create, build and be curious – with over 40 experiences along with dinner food, drinks and raffle prizes. Make a family night out of it! Dr. Shaps presented the Superintendent’s Recommend Budget on Tuesday, March 3rd. There will be several opportunities to hear more details:
3/17 – Detailed budget presentations
3/31 – Revenue forecast, Review of proposed budget
4/21 – Adoption of 2020-21 Budget by the Board of Education
5/5 – Public hearing on the budget
5/19 – Budget Vote
Dr. Shaps will also be holding two Superintendent Coffee & Budget Conversations on 4/24 at 9:15am in the HMX Library and 4/27 at 7pm in the MHS Library Classroom. Participants will have an opportunity to learn and ask questions in a conversation format.
From the Town of Mamaroneck…
The Town of Mamaroneck will hold a Repair Cafe this March to help residents get items fixed instead of trashed! And, at the same time, they are looking for potential volunteers: there’s still time to sign up to help. Especially needed are bicycle and jewelry fixer uppers but all types of menders are welcome.
