The Chatsworth Administration, Larchmont Village and the PTA continually strive to make Chatsworth a Safe School Zone. We strongly encourage every family to help us by walking to and from school as much as possible. We all have seen the traffic nightmare that too many cars can create! To facilitate this goal, we will be initiating “Walk to School Wednesday” this year.

If you are unable to walk to and from school for any reason, the following Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures are the approved policy of the Chatsworth Traffic & Safety Commission:

Enforcement of these policies will be maintained by the Larchmont Police Department on an ongoing basis. Following are highlights of traffic and parking laws:

• The corner of Larchmont Ave. at Addison St. by the school gate is NOT A DROP-OFF POINT; doing so is very dangerous to pedestrians.
• No parking or dropping off on Wendt Ave. opposite the Larchmont Ave. Church; no exceptions!
• NO PARKING is allowed on the school side of Forest Park Ave, Addison St. or Chatsworth Ave. Even for “just five minutes”!!!
• DOUBLE PARKING is against the law anywhere, anytime. Never release children from a double-parked vehicle.
• DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS, FIRE HYDRANTS OR CROSSWALKS!
• PEDESTRIANS, even small ones, ALWAYS have the right of way.
